Oh, right. The marathon. The marathon for Disneyland, the marathon chosen especially to run around Disneyland, Disneyland’s marathon. That marathon?

My 3rd half marathon is in the bag. Despite nearly passing out in the heat post-race, I had a lot of fun. This was a tough one physically and mentally, but I’m glad I did it (and even more glad it’s over lol). It was really awesome to see the lengths Disney went to encourage their runners along the course, setting up several cheer and various talent (for lack of a better word) stations. My favorite leg of the race was running the warning track of Angels Stadium, the home of my favorite baseball team, to cheering strangers whom have filled the field level seats in right field.

24 hours out and the soreness is setting in. I’m so tired that all I’ve wanted to do is sit in bed and binge watch Netflix (I didn’t, but I really, REALLY wanted to). Work tomorrow will be interesting, especially since we’ll be moving fixtures around the store.

It’s now time to mend and get healthy so I can start prepping for my next race in November. I’m not quite sure yet if I’m hooked on this marathon thing or just crazy lol.

Cheers to being better than yesterday!
